CARE Dog Rescue have new dogs coming in daily. There are all
types, shapes and looks. We do not get many small dogs, but from time
to time small dogs do come along. So you never know, your ideal
companion may be with us now and looking for a home.
We rehome most of the unclaimed stray dogs in this area.
We only have a limited time to find a home for these dogs or they may be
euthanized by the local authorities. Therefore if you are even slightly
interested in one of these dogs please call us as soon as possible, it just
might save a life!
Please phone CARE Dog Rescue on 01493 653955 to discuss
the type of dog you want, so that we can do our best to match the
right dog to you and your family.

Bobby - Rottie X ?, Male, estimated 3 to 4, Not a large
Rottie size but more large Staffie size. He went to a home for 2 days
but had to be returned due to not being clean indoors. He is also not
good with other dogs. Both problems can be retrained with a bit of
time, love and patience. He knows sit, down, stay, recall and takes
pills and a bath with ease. Not a mean bone in him, a very gentle and
loving dog, will make a super loyal pet if you have the dedication to work
with him for a bit.

Stray - Staffie, Female, 1 to 1 1/2 estimated age,
very sweet, gentle and affectionate.
|
 |
Stray - Mixed Breed, Male, 2 to 3 years old, friendly,
nice dog who was not claimed by owner, needs a caring home.
|
 |
Jake - Border Collie, Male (Neutered), 1 1/2 years old, Vaccinated,
Flea treated, Wormed , Microchipped,
Would
be best with gentle owners who are home most of the day. He is a very loyal
and loving boy and will make a superb companion in a loving home where he is
the only dog, he is ok with cats, Needs to be placed in a new home with no other
dogs and older children would be preferred,
He has been to
training classes and is coming along quite nicely, loves to play and long
walks.

Duke
Harley |
Labradors, Black, Males (Neutered), 7 years old, Good
with dog and children, Duke is food oriented and a bit of a lap dog while
Harvey just loves swimming. Ok off lead, can be left, clean indoors,
wormed and flea treated, always been together so we would like to rehome
them to the same family. However we realise the difficulty in finding
someone to take on two large Labs, so if the right homes come along we will
split them. They are not overly bonded to each other and will quickly
bond to new owners if separated. They sit in the back of the hatchback
and wait to be given the ok to jump out and go for a run. They are
excitable when visitors arrive but quickly settle down.
Owners lost their home and had to move into a flat
that will not allow dogs. These are nice family pets who need a new
loving home through no fault of their own.

Bobby - Husky X probably Lab, Two Blue Eyes, Male
(Neutered), 11/2 years old, Vaccinated, very
friendly to people and dogs, big boy and will make a super pet. Has
been in a home for a several weeks and is a great pet but cannot be
left as he scratches the doors to get out. He needs to be in a family
where someone is home all/most of the time and there is another dog. He
did pull on the lead but good progress has been made although he needs a bit
more work, recall is pretty good. Clean indoors and loving to the family. Nice handsome boy looking for a his special home.

Holly - Border Terrier x Jack Russell, Female, turned 8 in Dec, Vaccinated,
a lovely little girl, a bit shy of new people and places, but a nice little
dog. OK with people, Use to visiting children from 5 up, is scared of dogs, clean indoors, NO cats.
Although she is 8 these small terrier types usually live to 16 years old so
you have another 8 or so years to enjoy her company. She is not use to
men so the man/men in the household needs a kind and patient and willing to
spend some time using kindness and treats to win her trust.
Original lady owner passed away so she was a much loved pet who now must be rehomed.
We have rehomed her several times since she came to us but for various
reasons it just hasn't worked out. She is back in her original foster
home and doing fine. Please call if you are a kind, gentle, loving
owner and want to give her a chance to settle, we will give you all the
details.

great with people, children, dogs, he is clean indoors and a great little
dog, will make an ideal pet.
